Testing, from the 19th Century???

I just ran across a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson that I thought was a propos:

"All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better."

I did not pay for this endorsement of rapid testing.  In fact, Emerson has been dead about 125 years.  But it pretty much sums it up.

(Disclosure - I am a bit of an Emerson fiend, even granting my first born the middle name of Emerson!)

Couldn't agree more, though I'm always surprised at how many people - especially on the management side of the software industry - are repulsed by the idea of iterative, empirical development of new technologies.

Thanks for the Emerson quote!

Amen. Test regularly and watch your profits explode. And on a more personal level - try out new behaviors in your daily life and see what changes...
